How we collect, use, and protect your information. Effective June 9, 2026.

Who We Are

LightBridge Photography is a volunteer-driven nonprofit that provides free professional photography to community events, families, and organizations. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

This page is written in plain language to be easy to understand. It is not legal advice.

Information We Collect

Information you give us: When you submit the Request a Photographer form, we collect your name, email address, organization (if provided), a description of your event, the event date, and the event location.

Information collected automatically: To keep the site secure and prevent abuse, we briefly process your IP address for rate limiting. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, and we remember your language preference.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to respond to and fulfill your photography request, to contact you about that request, and to operate and secure our website. We do not use your information for advertising.

How We Store and Share It

Your request is stored in our content management system (Sanity), and we receive a notification email about it through our email provider (Resend). Our website is hosted by Vercel.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above, and only as needed to operate the site and respond to your request.

Donations

Donations are made through PayPal and Venmo. These payments are processed entirely on those platforms under their own privacy policies. We never receive or store your card or bank details.

Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide our services and maintain our records. You may ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your Choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information you have shared with us. To make a request, reach out through our Request page.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed to children. Some events we photograph may include minors, who are photographed at the request and with the consent of the event organizer or their parent or guardian.
